Severe Labor Shortage by 2030 (Estimate)

And now for some truly uplifting news. The recruitment firm Korn Ferry estimates by the year 2030 there will be a severe labor shortage globally with literally tens of millions of unfilled jobs left open. This will, unfortunately, clip trillions of dollars from worldwide GDP - that's the negative part - but the upshot is the talent search will be a full-time emphasis on what skills employees bring to bear - coding, accounting, nursing, engineering, math, physical education, and so on - and far less of an emphasis on where you went to college. Say "yes" to licenses, registrations and certificates; and say "See ya" to overpriced universities offering $150k degrees in French yoga or Pashtun poetry. And no offense to all you downward dog artists out there.

Skills - that's the name of the game.

One of the great untapped resources in this country is junior colleges and trade schools. Once seem as a backwater place of higher education and a stepping stone to a career in mid-level management at best, these places of higher education are booming across America with opportunities for advancement in every industry imaginable, Thr government does an exemplary job of pouring resources into these much-needed schools and anyone planning for a prosperous future who doesn't want the hassle and expense of a 4-year degeee should give this idea every consideration today.
